HOW DO WE EVER SAY GOODBYE?

I’m often asked, “How do you say goodbye to these pups? Is it hard?” Yes, it truly is. Each one we raise weaves its way into our hearts, and by the time they’re around five weeks old, their gaze shifts from their mama to us, and then to the humans who will become their forever families. By eight weeks, their little hearts are bursting with excitement as they yearn for a bond with their very own person.

So, yes, it’s a bittersweet moment saying goodbye. Each one has carved a place in our hearts. Yet, as we watch those little tails wag with excitement, carried off by their new families, our hearts swell with happiness for them. They are off to create their own adventures, to be cherished by someone who will love them fiercely. It often brings tears to our eyes, but those tears are a testament to the love we’ve shared. We love them enough to let them go, knowing they’re stepping into a life filled with warmth and joy, ready to live their best life.

PICK UP DAY!

To that end, it’s hard to watch their siblings go when one or two lag behind. You will have over four months to arrange to get your puppy on our designated pick up day. Please make the necessary arrangements and prioritize, rather than delay, your fur baby's BIG day!

TRANSPORTATION REQUESTS

We are happy to offer personal puppy delivery on a limited basis for families who are unable to travel to us. Because we are a small, hands-on breeding program, transportation requests are carefully scheduled and priced to reflect time, distance, and current rates--while prioritizing the safety and well-being of our puppies.

As of 2026, current transportation costs are $1.50 per mile, plus any tolls. To ensure travel remains fair and sustainable, we require a minimum delivery fee of $150, regardless of distance to compensate for vehicle wear, planning, and time away from our breeding program. Delivery tracking is offered using a shared live app. For traffic delays, a surcharge of $20 per additional half hour is applied.

If you will be flying to pick up your puppy, we can meet you at the airport at Dulles, Reagan, or Richmond airport for the fee of $1.50 a mile one way, plus tolls, parking fees, and a base rate of $50 for airport time and navigation. Please be aware you'll need to choose an airline that allows an eight-week old puppy in cabin (Currently, American and Southwest allow puppies to fly at eight weeks in cabin. But always confirm, as policies change.)

NEED US TO FLY YOUR PUP TO YOU?

We may also be able to personally fly with your puppy anywhere in the USA for the charge of our airfare, any pet fees, plus $500. You must meet us at the airport of your choice. If the delivery cannot be reasonably arranged for us to fly in and fly out the same day, an extra $150 is added for cost of our hotel, food, and transportation.

We can also sometime arrange for a professional flight nanny for lower rates, but may involve standard delays from their flight standby method.

Additional Notes

  • All transportation fees are quoted and approved in advance of scheduling.

  • Delivery fees are non-refundable once travel has been booked.

  • We reserve the right to limit or decline transportation requests based on distance, timing, weather, constraints of our small, hands-on program, or puppy welfare.

EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES

We know life isn't always perfect or predictable. If there are extenuating circumstances that cause a delay in pick up, we try to accommodate. Total price for boarding past pick up day is $50/day and a prorated $100/week training fee.

But please know that by the end of litter care, we  often plan rare time away together, and you may need to make independent arrangements.
