How Our Waiting List Works
We’ve transitioned from individual litter waitlists to a master waitlist, as we’ve found this approach to be both fairer and more efficient for our families and our program.
It allows us to manage applications thoughtfully and make placement decisions based on real information—once puppies are actually here.

Until a litter is born, we don’t know how many puppies there will be or what genders we’ll have. Because of this, assigning families to a specific litter in advance simply isn’t possible—it’s hard to plan around puppies that don’t exist yet! As with all breeding, we’re also at the mercy of Mother Nature, and plans may occasionally change. The master list allows us to adjust fairly and responsibly once we know exactly what we have.

You’re welcome to note a preferred litter on your application, and we do our best to honor those preferences whenever possible, though we can’t make guarantees. In some cases, we may open applications for a specific litter—such as when an X-ray shows more puppies than expected or for a planned breeding or size. When this happens, those litters will be clearly marked on our website as accepting applications.

As responsible breeders, we carefully pace our breedings, which means puppies may not always be available immediately—but we believe the wait is well worth it.

When your name comes up on the master list, you’ll receive an email with photos and details to help you decide whether to move forward with a puppy from that litter or wait for a future one. You’ll know which gender is being offered right away. Individual puppy selection happens later, once personalities emerge, and final matches are thoughtfully made around seven weeks of age based on temperament and size.

How our matching process works
​We take pride in finding the perfect puppy for each family—and you play a big role!
​
1. Puppy Personality Questionnaire
At about two weeks old, you’ll fill out a deep-dive questionnaire about lifestyle, preferences, and any “deal breakers” vs. “hopes” to make the best possible lifelong match.
​
2. Temperament First
Temperament is everything. Goldendoodles already have wonderful temperaments, but we use professional temperament testing at seven weeks to discover the little nuances—prey drive, assertiveness, or emotional sensitivity—to make a good match excellent.

3. Your Input
We consider all survey responses, emails, texts, and calls to understand your needs.
​
4. Puppy Party
This event isn’t for choosing puppies, but your connections help guide our matching. You may share your top three based on interactions—we believe in the “magic” when tails and hearts connect. Can't make it? We can schedule a virtual.

5. Final Matching
​
Once all steps are complete, puppies are assigned for your approval. Waitlist order is a minor factor, used only when multiple families equally match a puppy or when shared dealbreakers narrow the options.

If you live within 90 minutes of us, you can join our Guardianship Program—where you enjoy raising one of our pups as your own for free. You get your pick of the litter, they become your forever dog under our loving contract, and you help us continue raising happy, healthy, well-loved puppies. It’s puppy love with a purpose!

Gotcha Day is finally here—the day your new pup joins your family! We’ll guide you through what to expect, ensure safe travel if needed, and help your puppy start their new life smoothly. Timely pickup keeps their routine happy, but we’ll work with you if life throws a curveball!
